Librarians to Call For Fairness in Ebook Pricing in Upcoming Hearing

Librarians from across Massachusetts will seek more affordability and flexibility in licenses for digital content at a hearing for legislation to improve library access to ebooks and digital audiobooks.

Filed by Rep. Ruth B. Balser (D-Newton), an Act Empowering Library Access to Electronic Books and Digital Audiobooks will support libraries in fulfilling their mission of providing broad and equitable access to information for all by ensuring that licensing and contractual agreements between libraries and publishers contain equitable terms.

Massachusetts Military Support Foundation Announces Tickets Available to Sell for "Pot of Gold Sunday" Event

Massachusetts Military Support Foundation (MMSF) is thrilled to announce the launch of its popular "Pot of Gold Sunday" event in collaboration with our esteemed partner, Atlantic Subaru.

We are currently seeking local businesses interested in selling "Pot of Gold" tickets. We will also take donations, be it in cash, gift cards, in-kind donations, weekend getaways, trips, or raffle prizes. HCA and MetroWest YMCA team up to bring you a haunted experience: "Welcome to Deadwoodville"

Last year, HCA added the Haunted Trail to its weekend of fundraising events. Kelly Grill, HCA Executive Director and the brainchild for the event, wanted to take on the challenge of creating a spooky interactive experience through the trails behind the Middle School.

The Hopkinton Fire Department hosted their annual open house. This year the HFD hosted a cooking safety demonstration to reinforce the importance of practicing safe measures while using the stove and how quickly a fire could spread in your home if a safe cooking area is not maintained and also the benefits of home fire sprinklers.
