Friends Give $5,000 to Benefit the Renovation and Expansion of Hopkinton Public Library

Fundraising for the Library received a boost from the Friends of the Hopkinton Public Library just prior to the Library funding vote at the May 5 Town Meeting and the May 19 Town Election. With the Friends’ gift of $5,000, the amount raised by 1000 Homes for Hopkinton Library is now $280,000. In recognition of their gift, the Staff Room in the new Library will be named for the Friends.

On Tuesday, April 15, mention the Hopkinton Library at Bill’s Pizza when you check out between 5:00-9:00 PM and Bill's Pizza will donate 10% of your dine-in or take-out bill to the renovation and expansion of the Hopkinton Public Library!

Boston Marathon Cut-A-Thon Today!

A Boston Marathon Cut-A-Thon will take place at Ann-Michele’s Uptown Hair Design on Main Street in Hopkinton on Sunday April 6, to raise money for Team Project Just Because. Come in for $15 haircuts (no blow-dry) and $10 mini manicures from 9 AM-1 PM. Walk-ins and appointments accepted. 100% of the money raised will support Team Project Just Because. Message from DPW Water and Sewer Division

Please be advised that the DPW water and sewer division will be installing new outside water meter reading units at customer’s homes and business in the area of West Main, Elm, School, Priscilla, DiCarlo, Elizabeth, Hearthstone, Stonecrossing and side streets in those areas. In most cases this does not require entry into the home. However, in some instances technicians may need to gain access to your basement to make the necessary connection.

Baypath Humane Society Fur Ball

The Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton will host its 2nd Annual Fur Ball Saturday, March 1 at Acacia Indian Meadows, 275 Turnpike Road in Westborough at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $40 per person and $45 at the door. All proceeds will be used to assist the shelter animals.

The Fur Ball will feature live entertainment by the band Bob’s Your Uncle and an appearance by the Sports Hub’s Chachi Loprete.
