Car hits Dynasty Chinese Restaurant

Hopkinton Police and Rescue were on the scene at Dynasty Chinese Restaurant after a car rammed into the side of the building. Fortunately no one inside or outside the restaurant suffered significant injury.

The driver and his passenger are reportedly okay and were taken to the hospital for examination. The building inspector examined the damage to the buildings exterior and determined the restaurant does not need to close. Dynasty remains open for business.

Hopkinton's 2015 Marathon Invitational Entries Lottery Process in now open

In accordance with Section 2 of the Hopkinton Marathon Policy, the Board of Selectmen invites applications for the upcoming 2015 Boston Marathon in the following manner:

Invitational entry applications will be distributed to qualified organizations through a random selection that will take place at a Board of Selectmen meeting on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. In order to qualify for the random selection, an organization must fit one of two category descriptions outlined in the Town’s Marathon Policy, namely:

On November 6, 2014 the Board of Selectmen publicly acknowledged the resignation of a member of the Hopkinton Planning Board and are currently seeking candidates for this position.

Pursuant to Town Charter provision 3-1(e), a joint meeting, consisting of the remaining members of the Hopkinton Planning Board and the members of the Board of Selectmen, will convene at a regularly scheduled Board of Selectmen meeting to appoint an individual to temporarily fill this one seat until the next Annual Town Election in May of 2015.

Scouting for Food Pickup on Saturday, November 8

On November 8th, 2014, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts of Hopkinton will be collecting food for the Project Just Because Hopkinton Food Pantry to help our local residents in need. Since the first Scouting for Food drive, the number of families who rely on the food pantry in Hopkinton has risen dramatically with even more families requiring assistance year-round.
