You’re invited to a Christmas Sale at the Hopkinton Senior Center, 28 Mayhew Street on Friday, December 5 from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM and on Saturday, December 6 from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. You’ll find decorations, jewelry, wreaths, quilted and knitted items, Christmas books and book sets. There will also be a bake sale, plant sale and silent auction gift baskets! The silent auction ends on December 6 at 12:00 PM.
The Planning Board met with representatives from NSTAR to hear plans for the expansion of the substation located at 226 South Street during their November 17 meeting. The expansion will allow for more of the town of Hopkinton to be serviced by the station rather than being serviced by other towns. Near the site are an EMC driveway and building, and Milford residents on the other side of EMC.
It's Movember! Movember is an effort being made by many Men including the Hopkinton Police Department to grow out mustache's to show support in the fight against disease and sickness largely affecting males. You can donate to the Hopkinton Police Effort and the Movember Foundation use this link
HCAM has turned 10 years old and what better way to celebrate 10 years then with an open house.
The entrance to the parking lot behind Town Hall will be closed on Wednesday November 19, 2014 during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The parking lot Exit will be utilized as the Entrance and the Exit.
Hopkinton Boy Scout Troup 1 is selling fresh cut Christmas trees again this year. The tree lot behind Colella's Supermarket opens after Thanksgiving, on Friday, November 28 at 12:00pm. The trees are the fragrant traditional New England Balsam Fir (4-11 ft.) and the dark green, low-shedding, sturdy-branched Fraser Fir (5-12 ft.). The scouts will be selling trees until they are gone. Hours are Wed 4-7pm, Thurs 4-7pm, Fri 4-9pm, Sat 9am-8pm, Sun 9am-6pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Each year Troop 1 makes a special order to their vendor for the largest tree they can find to donate to the town.
Commuter rail riders will get a chance to directly share ride experiences, offer feedback, and voice concerns over the level of service on the Framingham/Worcester line in person to MBTA General Manager Beverly Scott. Scott will be at South Station this upcoming Monday, November 17th from 4pm-6pm as well as on Tuesday, December 2nd from 7am-9am to greet rush hour travelers.
