Hopkinton Public Library Foundation Funds New "Coffee House" Series at Library

Hopkinton Public Library Foundation is delighted to announce funding for a new series of Coffee House events at Hopkinton Public Library that will feature a range of cultural and artistic performances. At the first Coffee House on Saturday, April 6, 2024, the Betty Strong Room will come alive with Flamenco Boston’s music and dancing. Flamenco Boston is a group composed of two dancers, a singer, and a guitarist. In addition to the musical performance, the group will talk about the history of flamenco and the intercultural relationships that formed it.

Hopkinton Public Library Launching Two New Community Learning Initiatives

Library Director Nanci Hill and the Hopkinton Public Library are pleased to announce two new learning initiatives that aim to help community members learn new things, engage and connect.

Coffee House Series
The library, in partnership with the Hopkinton Public Library Foundation and the Hopkinton Cultural Council, will host its first Coffee House event in April as part of a new series. The first event will feature a performance by Flamenco Boston.

Community Notice: Friends of Hopkinton Seeks Board Members

The Friends of the Hopkinton Seniors is seeking members to fill positions on its volunteer board of directors.

The Friends hold fundraising events, the proceeds of which are used to provide services and support for Hopkinton’s senior citizens.

The board meets at the Hopkinton Senior Center, 28 Mayhew Street, Hopkinton, MA at 10:00 AM on the 4th Monday of each month except July and August.

Community Notice: Help Name the Hopkinton High School Stage!

At its meeting of March 21, 2024, the School Committee received a request from HHS Principal Evan Bishop and high school students to name the Hopkinton High School Auditorium stage in honor of teacher Valerie von Rosenvinge, who will retire from Hopkinton High School in June, after 22 years of service to the high school and its students.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
The Hopkinton School Committee, in keeping with their Policy FF-Naming of Facilities or Events, is formally announcing its intention to explore the naming of the High School Auditorium stage.
