At this years Town Election, Brendan Tedstone was re-elected to the Select Board. During the first meeting since election, the Board unanimously appointed Tedstone to Chair. In the video below, Brendan sat down with me to talk about his role of Select Board Chair among other topics.

Please be advised that do to a technical issue today’s required fire flow test will now take place tomorrow, 6/20/2019 on Hayden Rowe, at approximately 9:00 AM . Because these tests will take place on main transmission lines, customers may notice some discoloration during and after the tests throughout town. Please avoid doing any laundry, dishwasher loads or other water use activities, during this time. Any discoloration that may occur will eventually dissipate. Please check you water before using it.

You may need to run your cold water line to clear your internal pipes after the test is complete.

During a constitutional convention this week, the Massachusetts Legislature voted to amend the Massachusetts Constitution to place an additional 4 percent tax on annual taxable income in excess of $1 million to generate revenues for transportation and educational investments.

The revenue generated – estimated by the Department of Revenue as much as $2.2 billion annually, would fund repair and maintenance projects for roads, bridges or public transportation as well as funding for public education.
