The Planning Board is seeking residents interested in serving on the Zoning Advisory
Committee. The Board is looking for residents who will be energized and committed to
addressing various zoning related topics in depth, and committed to attending regular evening
meetings generally from September through February. The Planning Board is looking forward to
appointing a vital, creative and energetic Committee. The work program for the Committee will
be developed following a Public Forum in the fall of 2017. Terms are for one year, and no prior

Hopkinton Police Update from Friday April 11th:

"The Hopkinton Police Dispatch Center received a call at 5:22pm that a 12 year old boy had eloped from his home in a neighborhood located in the southern area of Hopkinton. Police and Fire resources were mobilized from Milford, Holliston, Ashland, Southborough, Upton as well as the Massachusetts State Police and the Department of Fire Services.

8/7-8/9 – Wood St (from Exchange St to Rocky Woods Rd). Milling.
8/10-8/11 – Hayden Rowe St (from College St to the Milford line). Milling. 9am-3pm.
8/9 – Daniel Rd – Reclaim.

Greyhound Friends Animal Cruelty Case Update

HCAM news received an update regarding the animal cruelty case against Louise Coleman, Director of the temporarily closed Greyhound Friends. The shelter was closed due to numerous reports of inhumane and unsanitary conditions.

"The judge denied the defendents motions to dismiss the charges. The defendant’s attorney claimed that the case should be dismissed because the charges were “unconstitutionally vague” and claimed she did not have “charge or custody” of the dogs.

The 4th annual National Night out took place at the Hopkinton town common. The nationwide event allows community members with participating departments of all ages to talk with their local Police Officers and learn about safety and what the Police Department does to keep the community safe. This year the Middlesex Sheriff's Department showed off some of the K9 unit. View highlights below!

Senate Passes Bill to Expand Language Opportunities for Students
