Touch-A-Truck and Food Truck Festival Raises Over $20,000 for the Renovation and Expansion of Hopkinton Public Library

Hopkinton Public Library Foundation’s 6th Annual Touch-A-Truck and Food Truck Festival raised over $20,000 for the restoration, renovation and expansion of Hopkinton Public Library, due to open its doors this fall. The event hosted 3000 kids and adults on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Hopkinton High School.

On Wednesday, June 14th, 7:30am at the HCAM Studios the Chamber of Commerce hosts their annual State of the Town event. The event will feature presentations by Chamber President, Scott Richardson, Town Manager, Norman Khumalo, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Cathy MacLeod and the Board of Selectmen. The Hopkinton High School parking lot was packed on Sunday (June 4th) for the 6th annual Hopkinton Public Library Foundation "Touch A Truck and Food Festival". HPLF Board Member, Katie Principe stated that close to 3,000 people attended the event this year and each year continues to have increased interest. She also stated that fundraising towards the renovation of the Public Library is going very well and 900,000 towards the 1 million dollar goal has been raised.

BOSTON– The Senate voted Thursday on a $40.8 billion budget for Fiscal Year 2018, investing in key areas related to local aid, education, health and human services, housing and workforce development. The budget makes targeted investments, while limiting the use of one-time revenue sources and protecting the state’s Stabilization Fund.
 

Construction of Hopkinton Public Library Almost Complete: Help Write the Final Chapter!

It’s almost here! Just a few short months away this Fall, the doors will open to the newly renovated and expanded Hopkinton Public Library at 13 Main Street. The new walls of the addition are being painted, furniture has been selected, signage is being designed, and plans are in the works to move the Library back to its historic downtown location. This $11.7 million project is the culmination of years of planning and support from Town leaders and residents.
