Joyce L. Olson, 85, of Northborough, and a former longtime Hopkinton resident, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Beaumont Nursing Home in Northborough. Born in East Hartford, CT., she was the daughter of the late Grace (Tourtelotte) and George Irvine. She was the wife of the late Dana F. Olson.

Thomas W. Alexander, 88

Thomas W. Alexander, 88, of Holliston, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2018. Born in Belmont, he was the son of the late Thomas S. and Eliza J. (Sheppard) Alexander.

Tom was the loving husband of the late Joanne M. Alexander for 55 years. Father to Thomas and his wife, Andrea, of East Falmouth, Scott and his wife, Toni, of Hopkinton, Bruce and his fiancée, Angela, of Belchertown, and his loving daughter and caregiver, Laurie Greenwood and her husband, Roger, of Milford.

Richard J. Macmillan, 71

Richard “Rick” Macmillan, 71, of Hopkinton, passed away on Monday January 22, 2018 after battling ALS. A lifelong resident of Hopkinton, he was the son of the late Virginia (Robbins) and Robert Macmillan.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Brandley) Macmillan of Eureka, KS, son, Christopher and his wife Cindy of Acton, MA. He also leaves behind a brother, Robert of East Boothbay, ME, a sister Kim of Dresden, ME and 2 granddaughters Julie and Ryann.

Mildred E. (Guetzlaff) Larsen, 88

Mildred E. (Guetzlaff) Larsen, 88, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday January 20, 2018. She was the wife of Howard Larsen to whom she was married for 66 years. She was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Theodore and Viola (Herbst) Guetzlaff and lived in Hopkinton for 34 years.

Mrs. Larsen was an accomplished pianist and a highly skilled artist. She was also an avid tennis player.

Gail J. (Stephens) Welch, 73

Gail J. (Stephens) Welch, 73, of Hopkinton passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, January 19th, 2018 at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. She was born on July 8th 1944 in Camden, NJ to the late Norton and Josephine (Emerson) Stephens.
Gail was a graduated of Hopkinton High School Class of 1962.

She worked for many years as the office manager for Northeastern Construction Company in Framingham.

Patricia M. Sheehan, 82

Patricia M. Sheehan, 82, of Hopkinton, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018. Born in Haverhill, NH, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Avis (Mills) Moran.
She was known and loved by everyone as Gram. She lived for her family and loved her children and grandchildren. She was an avid yard saler and loved animals.

Sarah A. "Sally" Bowker, 83

HOPKINTON - Sarah A. "Sally" Bowker, 83, died Thursday, January 18, 2018. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Ann (Kelley) Riordan.

Sally grew up in Stoughton and spent her summers fishing, picking berries, reading and sailing on North Pond. In 1952, she graduated from the Academy of the Assumption in Wellesley Hills. She attended Framingham State and married Francis X. Bowker in 1957. She taught CCD at St. John the Evangelist, volunteered for the Girl Scouts and worked at the Hopkinton Public Library under Betty Strong.

Benjamin James “BJ” Tomlin, 43 Arrangements Complete

Benjamin James “BJ” Tomlin, 43, of Grafton and formerly of Hopkinton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Frances Ann (McGrath) and Benjamin Porter Tomlin of Ft. Myers, FL.

BJ worked as a retail merchandiser for Acosta. He loved Nascar, the Boston Bruins, reading, and playing trivial pursuit.

Benjamin James “BJ” Tomlin, 43, of Grafton and formerly Hopkinton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Frances Ann (McGrath) and Benjamin Porter Tomlin of Ft. Myers, FL.
