Alice F. Lindsay, 88

Alice F. Lindsay, 88, of Hopkinton, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at home. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Bridges) and Murvin French. She was the wife of 56 years to the late William T. Lindsay Jr.
Alice was a graduate of Braintree High School and a 1950 graduate of Smith College in North Hampton, MA. She was a past volunteer at the Hopkinton library, where she enjoyed spending time reading and taking out many books. As a lifelong avid gardener, she was also a past president of the Hopkinton Garden Club.

William Lowe, 83

William Lowe, 83, a longtime Hopkinton resident, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Marian (Benedict) and Lloyd E. Lowe. He was the husband of 54 years to Shirley (Hughes) Lowe of Hopkinton.

A Veteran of the Army National Guard, William was retired from the construction business. He loved gardening, the outdoors, puzzles and dogs.

Matthew Paul McDonald, 21

Matthew Paul McDonald, 21, of Hopkinton, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 one day before his 22nd birthday as the result of an automobile accident. Born in Winchester, he was the son of Marilyn (Albury) McDonald of Hopkinton and the late Kenneth McDonald.

A 2014 graduate of Hopkinton High School, Matthew had been employed at California Closets. Caring and helpful with a kind heart, Matthew always had a smile on his face. He was the life of the party and a happy go lucky guy.

Audrey Connolly, 81

Audrey Connolly, 81, of Hopkinton (formerly Boston) entered into eternal peace on Thursday, November 9, 2017, surrounded by family in Westborough MA. Audrey was born April 27, 1936 in Boston to the late James W. Riggs of Newfoundland, Canada and the late Sadie Margaret Campbell Riggs of Prince Edward Island, Canada. She was raised in North Cambridge, MA and had an active childhood performing volunteer work for her church, dancing and performing in plays. She cherished her summers on Prince Edward Island with her mother's family and considered PEI her home away from home.

Adeline (Preservati) Dailey, 92

HOPKINTON - Adeline (Preservati) Dailey, 92, died Wednesday November 9, 2017 at her daughter's home in Hopedale. She was the widow of the late John E. Dailey, who died in 2009. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Prospero and Angelina (Perini) Preservati. She was a resident of Hopkinton for over 70 years.

William F. Carey, 73

HOPKINTON - William F. Carey, 73, died Thursday, October 25, 2017 at Milford Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Mary (Poirier) Carey. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Francis "Max" and Mary (McDonough) Carey.

He was a Technical Sergeant in the US Army and a lifelong Hopkinton resident. He worked as a driver for local transportation companies.

Alice F. Lazott, 96

HOPKINTON - Alice F. Lazott, 96, lifelong resident of Hopkinton, MA passed peacefully Monday, October 23, 2017 at her home. She was the widow of the late Wesley E. Lazott, who predeceased her in 1983. Born in Nashua, NH, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Florence Jane (MacDonnell) Nolan.

She was a well-known real estate broker in the Hopkinton area for many years, working at McDonough Realty with her sister Mary N. McDonough, who predeceased her in 1999. She was also a member of the Hopkinton Historical Society.

Gary Drowne Jr., 37

HOPKINTON - Gary Drowne Jr., 37, died October 5, 2017 at Metrowest Medical Center, Framingham after a brief illness. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Suzette (Lallier) Drowne Bukirch and the late Gary Drowne Sr.

He worked as an apartment maintenance manager.

He is survived by his sisters Tracy Drowne of Orlando, FL and Christina Drowne of Spencer, MA, his nieces Ashley Kimbar, Natalia Perez, and Mia Perez and his nephew Kaiden Hanlon.

Louis W. Anderson, 91

Louis W. Anderson, 91, formerly of Hopkinton, died October 11, 2017 in Worcester after a brief illness. He was the husband of Susan M. (Orrico) Anderson. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Louis A. and Ethel (Lowe) Anderson.

He was a US Navy veteran, having served as a Gunners Mate First Class in both World War II and the Korean War. He was a self-employed public account.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons John of Manhattan, NY and David of Washington, DC, and his grandchildren Nathan and Victoria.

Joan Mary Archer, 82

HOPKINTON – Joan Mary Archer, 82, passed away in Milford Regional Hospital on October 8, 2017, after a tremendous fight to survive. She was the wife of John Archer to whom she was married for 48 years. Born in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Leona (Kartz) Harvey and the stepdaughter of the late Albert Parenti.
