Barbara J. (Yerdon) Catone of Hopkinton, where she has lived for 29 years, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at home. She was 60. Born in Governeur, NY, she was the daughter of Mary Doreen (Tiernan) Yerdon of Hermon, NY, and the late Carleton Yerdon.

II, and is survived by four sons, William Palmer III, Tracy Palmer with wife Deborah, Edward Palmer with wife Angela, Christopher Palmer and Joyce
Pimental and two daughters, Katherine Thompson with husband Wayne, Roxanne Lareau with husband Michel, and twelve grandchildren, Heather, Erin, Jason, Gabriel, Ellen, Melissa, Beckey, Adam, Brian, Jenna, Christopher and Spencer, and thirteen great grand children, as well as siblings

Donald A. Hitchings, 92

Donald A. Hitchings, 92, of Hopkinton, passed away, Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. Born in Lynn, he was the son
of the late, Bertha and Charles Hitchings.

A Tech Sergeant during WWII in the Marines, Donald had been stationed in Okinawa, Japan and was a member of the VMF323 (Death Rattlers). He was the owner/proprietor of Hitchings Hardware and former owner of Don’s Taxi in Hopkinton. He was a member of the Hopkinton Auxiliary Police Department
and a softball player for Kenney’s and Hitching’s softball teams.

Marjorie Waters, 79

Marjorie Waters passed away quietly on December 29th, 2011, at the age of 79. She was born in Stockton -on-Tees, England, the only child of Ivy and Theodore Hutchinson. She is survived by two children, Deborah Brown Kollmeyer of Hopkinton, MA and Michael Brown of Mililani, HI, her son in law, Richard Kollmeyer of Hopkinton and daughter in law, Laura Brown of Mililani. She also had five grandchildren, Aaron & Evan Kollmeyer of Hopkinton and Kate, Adrian and Raymond Brown of Mililani, HI.

Charlotte M. Estes, 80

Charlotte M. Estes, 80, of Hopkinton, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 after a long illness. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the
late Catherine (McPherson) and I. James Estes.

A graduate of Holliston High School, Charlotte was a former resident of Holliston, Framingham, and Natick. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Holliston and St. John’s Church in Hopkinton. She spent much of her time caring for her mother and enjoyed spending time with her extended family.

John J. Hagenbuch, Sr., 95

John J. Hagenbuch, Sr., 95, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 in Framingham. Born in Boston on June 18, 1916, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Sullivan) Hagenbuch. He was the widower of Nell (Biedler) who died in February 2001.

John grew up in Watertown, MA and graduated from Watertown High School in 1934. He was a graduate of the Lowell Institute, Franklyn Technical School and MIT. He worked for the Mass. Department of Public Works from 1936 until his retirement in 1984.

Maxine Adams, 79

Hopkinton - Maxine E. Adams, 79, was called home to be with her beloved husband, Francis Adams, on Saturday, December 17, 2011. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maxine Wright.

A lifelong Hopkinton resident, Maxine was a gracious hostess at Maxine’s Marathon Madness for the past 12 years. She worked for the town of Hopkinton for 33 years and spending time with her family and friends was one of the things she valued most.

Nancy Wood, 83

Nancy Wood, 83, of Hopkinton, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011. Born in Cambridge and raised in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Ferreira) and Frank Angelo. She was the wife of the late Harold Wood.

She was a bookkeeper at Dennison.

Christina P. (Sprague) McGrath, 84

HOPKINTON - Christina P. (Sprague) McGrath, 84, died Monday, December 5, 2011 in Milford. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Stella (McDonald) Poirier. She was employed by T.J.'s Restaurant, Ashland, for over 20 years.

Marie C. Fleming, 93

Marie C. Fleming, 93, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 in Marlborough. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Teresa (Luciano) Colella. She was the widow of the late Stephen Fleming, who died in February 1999.

She was employed for many years with Telechron of Ashland. She was a daily communicate at St. John's Church and a member of the Hopkinton Historical Society.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her brothers Alexander, Angelo, Daniel and Joseph Colella and her sister Lucy O'Halloran.
