Herbert “Herb” Salvatore Mingace, Jr. 1942-2023

Herbert “Herb” Salvatore Mingace, Jr., born June 29, 1942 passed away peacefully on March 15, 2023 at the Stuart Lodge assisted living home in Stuart, Florida surrounded by family. Herb is predeceased by his father, Herbert S. Mingace, Sr. and mother, Palma (Creonte) Mingace. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Mingace and his children Joseph M. Mingace and his wife, Marianne Mingace of Hopkinton, David J. Mingace and his significant other Van Nguyen of Jensen Beach, FL, Christopher H. Mingace and his wife, Dina M.

Patrick Lynch, 89

Patrick Lynch, 89, of Hopkinton, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Mary (Walsh) and Cornelius D. Lynch. He was the husband of 53 years to Rosemary (Briggs) Lynch.

Pat proudly served his country as a Corporal in the Marines. He was a member of the VFW in Milford, Knights of Columbus Bishop Rice Council, and served on numerous town committees, including the marathon committee.

Michael George Allen, 78

Michael George Allen, 78, of Hopkinton passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023. He was born in Jamaica, New York and was the son of the late Geroge and Elizabeth (Berthney) Allen. He was the loving husband of 54 years to Maria (Aragon) Allen.

Michael proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed traveling, and was an avid gardener and runner, having run multiple marathons. As a hobby, he rebuilt and restored classic cars. He also enjoyed woodworking.

James Thomas Robson, 58

James Thomas Robson, 58, of Hopkinton, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Marcia (Russell) Robson of Hopkinton and the late Thomas LeRoy Robson. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Mangan) Robson.

A graduate of Keefe Tech in Framingham, James was a self-employed welder and fabricator for many years. He enjoyed working on classic cars, fishing, and camping. He was a loving son and brother that will be dearly missed.

Jane Maguire, 71

Jane Maguire, 71, of Franklin and Harwich, passed away at her home surrounded by family on March 8, 2023. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Joyce (Brennan) Dunlap of Ashland and the late Allen Dunlap. She was the wife of 42 years to Charles “Chuck” Maguire III of Franklin. Jane is survived by her mother-in-law, Jean Maguire and is predeceased by her father-in-law, Charles “Charlie” Maguire of Holliston.

Elaine Marie Mitsock, 64

Elaine Marie Mitsock, 64, a longtime Hopkinton resident, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. Born in Malden, she was the daughter of Lorraine (Belliveau) and Leonard Saulnier.

Elaine was raised in Wakefield and attended Lesley College. She went on to have a 36-year career as a dedicated teacher in special education at Holliston Middle School. She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Church in Hopkinton where she was the religious education coordinator and a CCD teacher.
Most importantly, Elaine loved her children and grandchildren.

Wendell “Roy” Wetherby, 84

Wendell “Roy” Wetherby, 84, of Milford and formerly of Hopkinton, passed away at the Blaire House in Milford on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Born in Montgomery, Vermont, he was the son of the late Pearl (Bressette) and Homer Wetherby. He was the husband of 21 years to Sandra (McGilvray) Wetherby of Milford.

Roy proudly served in the Army. Prior to his retirement 30 years ago, he worked as a town accountant for Hopkinton and then Acton. After retirement, he continued to keep busy working in a variety of areas. He enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle.
