Jeanne M. Martin, 81

Jeanne M. Martin, 81, of Hopkinton passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham after a long battle with dementia. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Nina (Hamilton) and Edmund Christian of Westborough. She was the wife of 64 years to Joseph A. Martin.

Monika (Franz) Lee, 83

Monika (Franz) Lee, 83, of Hopkinton, MA passed away on November 11, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.

Monika was born on February 23, 1939, to Dr. Anselm and Dagmar Franz in Dessau, Germany. She lived for a short time at a U.S. occupied base after WWII and emigrated to the United States at age seven. In 1959, Monika very proudly gained full U.S. citizenship.

Monika lived in Connecticut during her formative years, attended Milford High School, and continued her studies at Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Alfred Holland, 78

Alfred Holland, 78, formerly of Hopkinton, died Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Clinton Hospital. He was the husband of Geri (Musto) Holland to whom he was married for 52 years. Born and raised in Revere, he was the son of the late Alfred and Pricilla Holland.

Al enjoyed teaching, spending time with his family and pets, playing trumpet, billiards and carving African masks.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Shayne and Ryan Holland, as well as his 8-year-old granddaughter Ayla.

John McKay, 88

HOPKINTON- John McKay, 88, formerly of Hopkinton, died Monday, October 24, 2022 in Hollywood, FL. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late William and Sybil McKay.

John worked for many years as a chemist. He had a deep love for traveling and the arts.

He is survived by his special caregivers Robert and Elizabeth Arena of Hollywood, FL. He is predeceased by his longtime partner Eugene Guerrrini.

Bruce Anderson Tobey, 72

Bruce Anderson Tobey, 72 of Hopkinton, Massachusetts and Ocean Park, Maine, husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022 following a brief illness. He departed this life a champion of, and hero to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Deborah J. Cote, 65

Deborah J. Cote, 65, of Hopkinton, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Bancroft) Murphy of Hopkinton.

Deborah loved to crochet blankets for children and enjoyed playing bingo.

Besides her mother, Deborah is survived by her brother, Joe Taft of Marlborough and her nephew, Eric Taft and his wife, Elaine of Marlborough.

Irene (Terry) Timlege, 91

a lifelong Hopkinton resident, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022, following a period of declining health.

She was born on Christmas day in 1930, as the daughter of the late John and Lucy (Pomeroy) Terry. After graduating from Hopkinton High School, she furthered her education by earning an undergraduate degree in Foods and Nutrition from Regis College in Weston, and a master’s in education from Framingham State College.

Benton Cassie, 39

Benton Cassie, 39, died suddenly on Monday, October 3, 2022 at his home in Hopkinton. Born in El Salvador, he was the son of Lawrence Cassie and the late Sandra (Wood) Cassie.

Benton was a 2002 graduate of Hopkinton High School and a 2011 graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in civil engineering. He worked for Sira Naturals in Milford.

In addition to his father, Benton is survived by his step-mother Nina Cassie of Sarasota, FL.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home.
