Video: Hillers Volleyball Advances to the D2 State Championship

The Hopkinton Hillers Girls Volleyball team advanced to their 2nd state championship game in the past 3 seasons. The team took home the title in 2014 and look to do it again this year. The Hillers beat Canton in the Central sectionals followed by undefeated Amherst in the State Semi-Finals. View Highlights Below.

Hillers Volleyball Advances to D2 State Finals

The Hopkinton Hillers handed Amherst their first loss of the season in the Division 2 State Semi-Finals Wednesday Night (11/16). Hopkinton improved to 21-2 on the season while the Amherst Hurricanes fell to 23-1. Hopkinton defeated Medway (3-0), Westboro (3-1) and Canton (3-0) in the Central sectionals to advance to take on West Champion, Amherst in the State Semi's. Amherst went into the semi-finals matchup having won every single set except two all season.

Hillers Sports Update 11-7-2016

-Hopkinton Hillers Field Hockey had an impressive playoff run forcing 2 games into overtime and shutting out Norwood in the 1st round. TVL champion Hopkinton entered the Post Season as the 12th seed in the South Division 1 bracket and defeated 21st seeded Norwood 3-0 in the 1st round. Hopkinton followed up with an upset on the road against #5th seeded Silver Lake. The Hillers defeated Silver Lake 2-1 in double over time! In the regional quarterfinals, the Hillers gave #4th seeded Sandwich all the could handle on the Sandwich home field but fell in overtime 1-0.

2017 Boston Marathon Invitational Entry Application Process

In accordance with Section 2 of the Hopkinton Marathon Policy, the Board of Selectmen invites applications for the upcoming 2017 Boston Marathon in the following manner:

Invitational entry applications will be distributed to qualified organizations through a random selection that will take place at a Board of Selectmen meeting on Tuesday, December 6, 2015. In order to qualify for the random selection, an organization must fit one of two category descriptions outlined in the Town’s Marathon Policy, namely:

Early Registration for Against the Tide

Registration for the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition's Against the Tide event is now open. The event will take place at the Hopkinton State Park on Saturday, June 17 in 2017 and at Nickerson State Park in Brewster on Saturday, August 19, 2017.

The race will start at 8:30 AM with the competitive swim/aquathon and 5K/10K run portions. The walk portion will be at 8:50 AM, the recreational swim will be at 9:45 AM, and the kayaking event will be at 10:45 AM. Participants can take part in one, two, or three of the events in any combination.
