Agnes (McIntyre) “Gram” Penney, 97, died November 10, 2018 at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center with family by her side. She was the widow of the late Richard "Joe" Penney, who died in 2000. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Agnes (Wilcox) McIntyre.

She attended Hopkinton High School and spent her life there, raising four children with her husband.

She is survived by her children Nancy Macmillan and husband William, Donna McKenna, and Richard Penney and wife Kathleen, all of Hopkinton. She also leaves her grandchildren Maryann Glaser, Susan Robie, Ronald Mortensen, William Macmillan, Brenda Macmillan, Karen Schiloski, Laura Doherty, Daniel Macmillan, Deborah St. Angelo, Sean McKenna, Michelle St. Angelo and Julie Carelli. She also leaves 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter Mary Mortensen, her son-in-law Rayburn Mortensen Sr, her grandchildren Rayburn Mortensen Jr, Richard Penney III and Amy Penney, and her siblings Mary Simpson, Claire Robbins, Janet Garbarino, Frances Spindel and James McIntyre.

The funeral will be held Friday, November 16 at 9:30 a.m. from the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home, 34 Church Street. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 20 Church Street. Burial will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, November 15 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
