Audrey Connolly, 81, of Hopkinton (formerly Boston) entered into eternal peace on Thursday, November 9, 2017, surrounded by family in Westborough MA. Audrey was born April 27, 1936 in Boston to the late James W. Riggs of Newfoundland, Canada and the late Sadie Margaret Campbell Riggs of Prince Edward Island, Canada. She was raised in North Cambridge, MA and had an active childhood performing volunteer work for her church, dancing and performing in plays. She cherished her summers on Prince Edward Island with her mother's family and considered PEI her home away from home. Audrey began working for Honeywell Corporation in the late 1950s where she met the love of her life who became her husband, Jack Connolly, who pre-deceased her. She enjoyed her role as a mother to her four children and was active in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, the PTA, and when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the young age of 33, she led the MS Society's local chapter.

She leaves her beloved daughters Jaynemarie and her partner Cesar Faes of North Attleboro, MA, Kathleen and her husband James Ciriello of Hopkinton, MA, Mary Ann and her husband Mark Shoup of Apple Valley CA, and son John of Milford MA. She also leaves her precious granddaughters Julia and Gianna who will miss her dearly and grandsons Andrew, Christopher, Timothy and Sam and one great-grandson. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a sister Myrna Riggs and her infant twin sons James and Joseph Connolly.

Audrey's family wishes to thank the nurses, especially Jess and Carlene, physical therapists, especially Karen Green, and staff at Kindred Transitional Care in Westborough for taking such good care of her and a completely separate entity Kindred Hospice care, especially Lori Hughes whose loving care took our mum comfortably and with dignity through her last days.

Visitation will be held Friday November 17 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home, 34 Church Street, Hopkinton. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation and burial at Saint Joseph's Cemetery in west Roxbury will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society.
