Many transactions can be completed online, and we are available via phone and email to assist during regular business hours. A full Town Directory can be found here. A box at the front door of Town Hall may be used to drop off correspondence, applications, etc., and they may also be mailed or emailed. Parks, Playgrounds and Playing Fields are closed.

As of 11:00 a.m. on 5/6/20, Hopkinton’s Health Department is reporting 104 total confirmed
COVID-19 cases; 61 of those cases are active, with 32 recoveries and 11 deaths. You can see historical tracking and updates on Hopkinton’s Community Impact Dashboard:: Information from Health Officials is that Massachusetts is in the tail of “the surge” (expected peak) period.

Remote Order Fulfillment - NEW UPDATE Non-essential business may bring in a small number of employees in order to remotely fulfill online or phone orders. However, there are many guidelines that must be followed. Read more in the Covid-19 Essential Services FAQ’s here: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-essential-services-faqs

The Hopkinton Health Department would also like to take this opportunity to remind local business owners and operators that it is their responsibility to enforce social distancing within the workplace.

Cleaning Services - NEW UPDATE Although cleaning companies are permitted to service essential commercial businesses and businesses that are about to open, the Attorney General’s Office has stated that cleaning companies and maid services are not permitted to clean residential homes at this time. The Hopkinton Health Department appreciates the cooperation of all parties in this matter.

Summer Camps, Pools, Beaches: The Hopkinton Health Department expects guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) next week on camps, summer programming, pools and beaches. As more information becomes available, Hopkinton will share that guidance in futures update(s).

Face coverings are required at all times when:
● Inside or waiting in line outside of grocery
● stores, pharmacies, and other retail stores;
● Providing or using the services of any taxi, car, livery, ride-sharing, or similar service;
● On any form of public transit, including train or bus; and
● In an enclosed or semi-enclosed transit stop or waiting area.
