The key to a thriving community like Hopkinton is found in the willingness of citizens to volunteer for committees and to serve as elected officials. Jean Bertschmann exemplifies that spirit and we are fortunate to have had her expertise and conscientiousness as a member of the School Committee since 2009. During that time, Jean has worked collaboratively with her fellow committee members, other town boards, and parents to enhance the system for all students.
In addition to her work on the School Committee, Jean has served Hopkinton in so many other ways including -- but not limited to -- as President of the HPTA and as current chair of the 300th Anniversary Committee. As a former chair of that committee who has worked with Jean for last several years I can attest to her many strengths including her excellent organizational skills, her follow through and her genuine regard for the town.
For these reasons and more, I support her re-election to School Committee. Please vote for Jean Bertschmann on May 18.
