The Hiller Varsity Golf Team traveled down to the TPC of Boston today and defeated a very young, but talented Norton team. The final score was Hopkinton 237 and Norton 262. That was the lowest score shot by an opponent of Norton at the TPC this year. The Hiller record is now 13 – 1 and Norton’s record is 10-6. The Norton team will be joining us at the MIAA State Qualifiyng round on Monday, Oct. 19th at the Easton C.C.

The Norton #1 player shot an even par 36 to take the medalist honors for the day. I brought 8 seniors today for their last opportunity to play at the TPC of Boston. The scoring was solid at the top of the lineup with our three captains shooting the following; Jake Doherty & Matt Johnson shot 38’s – Geoff Holler shot 39 and Jacob Southern had a great round of 39 from the #7 spot in the lineup. Jacob was 2 under par today after making an eagle on the par 4 fourth hole. He drove the green and made the 15 foot putt for eagle. Drew Simi had 40 – Aidan Curry shot 43 – Connor Czerepuszko shot a 44 and Matt Locke struggled today with a 53. Nice job of consistent play at the TPC today. Now the varsity will head down to Maple Gate C.C. tomorrow to play Medway once again. The following 10 players will represent the varsity team tomorrow as we still remain tied for first place with Medfield. This will be our last road trip of this season.
