Have you Made Plans for MLK Day?

Would you like to make sandwiches for the homeless, bake cookies for the hungry, or make blanets for those in need? Or do you have another idea about how you can participate in Hopkinton's 4th Annual MLK Day of Giving Back? Now is the time to start thinking and planning about how you can make a difference.

Last year, over 800 Hopkinton residents volunteered or took part in a service project of some kind. Examples of activities include writing letters to soldiers overseas, assembling winter emergency kits, or making a meal for the elderly. The organizers of the event are looking for new ideas for the 2011 event and encourage residents to think about an activity that could take place at the Middle School and allow middle and high school students, adults or seniors to participate.

Need some inspiration? Check out the photos from last year's event at http://www.sceneinhopkinton.org/Events/MLK-Day-2010/14987956_ZzR6P#11195....
