Hopkinton Hillers News and Notes 10-15-21, Hillers Football, Girls Volleyball Capture Wins!

-Hopkinton Football defeats Medfield 34-21
Hopkinton improves to 2 and 4 with the win, Medfield fell to 0 and 6.

QB Robert Litscher capped-off a 4 minute, 14 second 80 yard drive with a 2 yard TD run to open up the game. CB Braden Hicks then had an interception on the first Medfield drive leading to a 70 yard TD run by Joe Carrazza to make it a 13-0 game at 4:19 left in the 1st quarter.

The following Medfield drive resulted in a Paul Litscher interception which was followed by an 81 yard TD reception by WR Seamus Murphy from Robert Litscher to make it a 20-0 game following an Avery Ravech extra point at 9:55 left in the 2nd quarter.

Medfield came back with an 80 yard Will Griffin touchdown reception from QB Nick Hasapidis. Medfield then forced a Hillers punt and Medfield QB Nick Hasapidis connected with Cole Cloney for a 13 yard touchdown. Extra point made it a 20-13 game. On the following drive Hillers QB Robert Litscher connected with WR Wyatt Stevens for a 44 yard touchdown and Ravech extra point made it a 27-13 game, that score remained until the halftime break.

In the 2nd half, Aidan Kelly had an interception in a scoreless 3rd quarter. Medfield scored the first points of the 2nd half with a 20 yard touchdown by Cole Cloney on a pass from Hasapidis, a successful 2-point conversion pass to Cloney made it a 27-21 game. In the 4th quarter, DL Justin Sokol put a stop to a Medfield drive in Hopkinton territory with 2 straight sacks to force a turnover on downs. RB Joe Carrazza would find the endzone once again with a 28 yard run at 49 seconds left in the 4th quarter to cap off the Hillers 34-21 victory.

Hopkinton hosts Westwood next Friday Night (10-22) at 7pm, Medfield heads to Holliston next Friday for a 7pm kickoff.

Hillers improve to 15 and 0 with the win over Norwood, Mustangs fall to 4 and 10

-Medfield Girls Soccer defeats Hopkinton 1-0

Hillers falls to 9-5-0, Medfield improves to 9-2-3 on the season.
Kaitlyn Barton had the only score of the game for Medfield. Both teams had back and forth momentum shifts and great performances by both goaltenders in the TVL Large battle.
