Are your dog walks hard work? Tired of your dog pulling, jumping, or not coming when called? Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton is pleased to offer a free talk, led by Nance Moran, creator and co-owner of Life is Dog, Inc. to help you overcome common dog training challenges. This free talk entitled “Top Five Dog Training Pet Peeves” will include helpful tips and techniques for teaching your dog desirable behaviors.

To be held at 10AM on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, this fun, information-filled session will cover positive reinforcement, which encourages building a relationship with your dog by learning to communicate effectively with them. Positive reinforcement is a proven method of using a reward such as praise, treats, or toys when your dog responds to you or offers a behavior you like. Nance will address how to employ positive reinforcement to strengthen your bond with your dog and encourage good behaviors.

In addition to being co-owner of Life is Dog, Nance is an experienced veterinary technician with a Master's Degree in Biology. Her 15 years of prior experience as a scientist also supports her scientific-based training approach using marker and reward training.
