Joseph W. Pratt, 93, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 after a short illness. He was the loving husband of Mary (O’Brien) Pratt, to whom he was married for 59 years. He was a life long resident of Hopkinton. A graduate of Hopkinton High School, he attended The College of the Holy Cross and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a local builder, farmer and insurance agent and a longtime member of the Woodville Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Joseph Jr. of Amesbury; Daniel and wife Kelly of Pittsburgh, PA; Thomas and Susan Bush of Hopkinton; Robert and wife Jennifer of Hopkinton; and his daughters Maryanne Bilodeau and husband Thomas of Westborough; and Martha Pratt Rice and husband Joel Rice of Warwick, MA. He also leaves nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by six sisters and one brother.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home, 34 Church Street . A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, November 5, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
