Marjorie Waters, 79

Marjorie Waters passed away quietly on December 29th, 2011, at the age of 79. She was born in Stockton -on-Tees, England, the only child of Ivy and Theodore Hutchinson. She is survived by two children, Deborah Brown Kollmeyer of Hopkinton, MA and Michael Brown of Mililani, HI, her son in law, Richard Kollmeyer of Hopkinton and daughter in law, Laura Brown of Mililani. She also had five grandchildren, Aaron & Evan Kollmeyer of Hopkinton and Kate, Adrian and Raymond Brown of Mililani, HI.

While a young woman in England, she married Russell R. Brown of Albuquerque, NM, a radar technician for the US Air Force stationed in England. Over their 25 year marriage, they lived in many locations throughout Europe and the USA. Marjorie was also wed for over 20 years to William Waters of Santa Rosa, NM.

Marjorie was retired from the American Red Cross where she worked for 40 years. She held many roles including providing assistance to military families as well as managing the Disaster Relief Department in Albuquerque. She also wrote and received the first grant for Vietnam Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

After Marjorie moved to Hopkinton in 2006, she made many new friends both in her community as well as through her volunteer work at the Hopkinton Senior Center. She continued to enjoy traveling during her retirement with family as well as her friends from Hopkinton.
