The New England Truck Driver Expo is filling a critical need for local transportation and trucking companies in New England. This event, billed as “the premier career and industry event for CDL drivers,” is bringing together the area’s top transportation and trucking companies and connecting them to a qualified pool of truck drivers.
An ongoing shortage of truck drivers combined with the fact that 80% of all transportation of goods is moved by trucks, has led to a great need for trucking companies. “The demand for truck drivers is only going to keep growing according to many trucking industry statistics. There has been a projected growth of 1.1 million jobs just in the material moving occupations sector,” notes The Truckers Report (www.truckersreport.com). It is predicted that industry growth of up to 21% will continue through 2020.
The New England Truck Driver Expo is free to attend, but is requesting that attendees preregister on the event website – www.netruckexpo.com. Exhibitor registration is $400, and expires on Wednesday, March 4th. The event will take place at 325 Donald Lynch Boulevard on Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 10:00AM – 2:00PM. Attendees will be able to network with fellow transportation professionals, listen to presentations, and enter to win prizes from sponsor DAVIS Transportation Services and WKLB Country Radio 102.5.
