The Town of Hopkinton seeks residents who are interested in serving on the Historical Commission.
MGL Chapter 40 §8D authorizes the establishment of a Historical Commission for the preservation, protection and development of the historical or archaeological assets of any such city or town. Projects entrusted to the Commission include conducting research for places of historic or archaeological value, assisting cooperatively with others engaged in such research and carrying out other initiatives for the purpose of protecting and preserving such places.
The Historical Commission consists of seven (7) full members who are appointed to three (3) year terms and (2) associate members. The vacant position is a full member position. Members shall be residents of the Town of Hopkinton.
Interested residents should apply via the online volunteer form at http://hopkintonma.iqm2.com/Citizens/Board. All new applicants must register through the new online system.
