HOPKINTON - William F. Carey, 73, died Thursday, October 25, 2017 at Milford Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Mary (Poirier) Carey. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Francis "Max" and Mary (McDonough) Carey.
He was a Technical Sergeant in the US Army and a lifelong Hopkinton resident. He worked as a driver for local transportation companies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son William Carey and his wife Christina of Hudson, his daughter Patricia Bailey of Sandown, NH and eight grandchildren. He also leaves his sisters Joanne Phipps of Hopkinton, Ruth Maffie and her husband Andrew of NH and Frances Olson and her husband Bruce of VT. He is predeceased by his son Todd Carey.
