Additional Donations are Key to Opening Doors this Fall
July 22, 2014 --- Preliminary work has begun on The Sky's the Limit Courtyard at Hopkinton Middle School in an effort to open the doors to the courtyard for the 2014-2015 school year.
Plumbing and electrical work is currently in progress to prepare for masonry and door installation. In addition, updates to the security system, adaptations to ensure compliance with ADA Accessibility standards and initial landscaping to provide proper grading and drainage must be completed before Phase II can begin.
“Getting the space to code is the unglamorous part of the project, however it is vital to making the courtyard safe and viable,” stated Maryellen Grady, assistant principal of Hopkinton Middle School. “This is not work that can be done while school is in session. Our goal is to raise the remaining funds to complete Phase I this summer so the courtyard can be used by the students and the community this fall.”
The committee is asking anyone considering a making a donation to do so now so that the project will not be delayed. All donations towards the project are welcome and appreciated.

Silver Key Contributor: $2,500+
Bronze Key Contributor:$1,000+

Engraved bricks to be placed in the Courtyard’s walkway are available for $125 (4”x4”) or $250 (8”x8”)
Phase II of the project will complete the transformation of the courtyard into a vibrant outdoor learning and meeting space for students and the Hopkinton community. The vision includes creating a performance area, outdoor classrooms, open space and small seating areas to create a dynamic learning and gathering environment.
