Chief Gary Daugherty is pleased to report that the Hopkinton Fire Department received a $18,790 grant from the Department of Fire Services Fiscal Year 2024 Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant Program.
The Hopkinton Fire Department will use the funding to purchase multiple hoses in varying sizes and nozzles. The new equipment will allow the Hopkinton Fire Department to outfit both front-line pumpers with new hoses.

The Hopkinton Freedom Team and the Hopkinton Public Library will be co-hosting a book discussion on Say the Right Thing: How to Talk About Identity, Diversity, and Justice by Kenji Yoshino and David Glasgow on Thursday, March 21st from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the library. Participants are welcome to pick up a copy of the book at the Hopkinton Public Library's Circulation Desk. This event encourages healthy discussion on diversity-related topics and will be facilitated by Freedom Team members and librarians. Adults and Teens are encouraged to read the book and participate in discussion topics.

Henry “Hank” Peter Allessio, 83, of Hopkinton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 16, 2024, after years of being affected by blood-related cancers. He was born in 1940, to Henry Paul and Adele Margaret (Pozzetta) Allessio in Pittsfield, MA.
