Hopkinton Firefighters Participate in Multiagency Federal Radiological Training Program

Chief Gary Daugherty is pleased to share that the Hopkinton Fire Department recently attended a federal radiological and nuclear training program alongside first responders from agencies around the region.

The training was hosted by the Easton Fire Department at Stonehill College in January in partnership with the City of Boston Police Department's Securing the Cities Program.

Major County Sheriffs of America recognizes Sheriff Peter Koutoujian as Sheriff of the Year

Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian has been named the 2023 Sheriff of the Year by the Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA).

The award was presented to Sheriff Koutoujian during MCSA’s Winter Conference in Washington, D.C. on Friday, February 9, 2024.

MCSA’s Sheriff of the Year award is named after late Orange County (CA) Sheriff – and former MCSA President – Sandra Hutchens who passed away in 2021.

Town of Hopkinton Encourages Residents to Complete Health Services Survey

Town Manager Norman Khumalo and Health Director Shaun McAuliffe encourage Hopkinton residents over the age of 18 to complete a survey that will help the Hopkinton Health Services Department improve health-related programs and resources for residents.

The anonymous survey is part of a strategic planning effort that plans to help the Hopkinton Health Services Department understand the health needs and concerns of residents, develop programs and policies to address those needs, and promote well-being within the community.

Hopkinton Public Library to Start “Reading Marathon”

Library Director Nanci Hill and the Hopkinton Public Library are excited to announce the Reading Marathon in conjunction with the 100-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon starting in Hopkinton.

Sign up for the challenge at the library at any desk. Sign-up begins on Feb. 12. The program begins on Feb. 18. Participants may also join after the start date.
