Join Hopkinton Little League for the 2016 $5K Draw and Summer Luau Fundraiser

Join Hopkinton Little League and welcome in the new season! Hopkinton Little League is holding its annual fun-filled night out and fundraiser! This year we celebrate with a $5K Draw and Hawaiian Luau themed party at Woodville Rod and Gun Club on Friday May 20. From 7-11pm, enjoy music and dancing in your favorite luau garb. The 50/50 and Basket Raffles, Silent Auction items and Sport Memorabilia promise to provide plenty of opportunity to go home with awesome prizes.

Live Town Election Debate on HCAM May 10th!

Candidates from 6 contested races in the Hopkinton Town Election will be asked questions for debate. The debate will air live on HCAM (Comcast Channel 8, Verizon Channel 30) or feel free to join the studio audience. The event will be Tuesday May 10th at 7pm until 9pm.

Panelists Include: Tom Nappi, Michelle Murdock, Amy Ritterbusch

Candiates Include: Board of Selectmen, Town Moderator, Constable, Board of Health, Parks & Recreation, Town Clerk

Hopkinton Garden Club Plant Sale on May 14th Supports Civic Projects

The Hopkinton Garden Club will hold its annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 14th from 8 a.m. to noon on the Town Common. Please stop by to choose from our wide selection of perennials from Club member gardens; perennials, annuals, herbs and vegetables from select wholesalers. To add some whimsy to your garden, we’re offering glass flower decorative art. The plant sale is a great opportunity to meet Club members and to learn about different varieties of plants. We look forward to sharing our enthusiasm about gardening and to helping you make good plant choices for your garden.

and to thank registered donors for giving hope.

Who can be a donor? People of all ages and medical histories
should consider themselves potential donors. Your medical condition
at the time of death will determine what organs and tissue can be donated.

Fatima Day at the Shrine in Holliston

On Friday May 13th, the Xaverian Missionaries will hold the traditional Fatima Day celebration in honor of Our Lady at Fatima Shrine, 101 Summer Street in Holliston. It will be our first Fatima Day of 2016. This year’s theme is connected to the Extraoirdinary Jubilee of Mercy - Mary Mother of Mercy. The main celebrant and homilist will be Fr. Adolph Menendez, sx. Fr. Adolph served for almost 30 years in the missions: first in Japan and then in Mexico. At present he is in Holliston involved in mission education and pastoral ministry.

We encourage townspeople to attend and ask questions of those citizens running for office in the May 16th Town Election. Home viewers will have the opportunity to pose questions to the candidates using a phone number posted on the TV screen. Questions can also be e-mailed ahead of time or that evening to live@hcam.tv.
