Town of Hopkinton Seeks a PT (16 hour) Dishwasher/ Kitchen Worker

Under the general supervision of the Senior Center Director, the Dishwasher/Kitchen Worker will be responsible for cleaning all dishes, cooking utensils, and equipment; kitchen maintenance and support services in the provision of meals for the Town's Senior Center programming. Hours may vary but are generally between 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Colella's Liquor Store Reportedly will Remain Open

Manager of Colella's Supermarket at 61 Main Street Dale Danahy reportedly announced today that despite the grocery store portion closing soon, the liquor store portion will remain open. The supermarket will be closing in the near future, the date has not yet been announced. No date has been determined to how long the liquor store will stay open after the grocery portion closes or what the future of the property is.

Edward J. Nealon, 84

Edward J. Nealon, 84, died peacefully in his home Sunday February 15, 2015. He was the devoted husband of Theresa A. (Notturno) Nealon, to whom he was married for 63 years. Born and raised in Milford, he was the son of the late Joseph and Gladys (McGee) Nealon.

Edward and Theresa moved to Hopkinton early in their marriage and were life long residents.

Thomas E. Coburn III

Thomas E. Coburn III died Saturday February 14, 2015. He was the loving husband of Jeannine (Pompeo) Coburn to whom he was married for 25 years. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Thomas E. Coburn II and the late MaryJane (Grady) Coburn.

Hopkinton Police Conducting Alcohol Compliance Checks

The Hopkinton Police Department will be conducting annual Alcohol Compliance Checks of all licensed establishments beginning in February 2015 through June 2015.

These compliance checks are made to ensure that all establishments licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages In Hopkinton follow and comply with all rules and regulations pertaining to the safe sale and service of alcohol within town.

This notice is made in accordance with compliance policy and with the recommendation of the ABCC (Alcohol Beverage Control Commission)

School Roofs Inspected

Mr. Rogers, Director of Buildings and Grounds, met with Mr. Kadlick and Mr. Shepard from the Hopkinton Building Department on Wednesday, February 18th to thoroughly inspect all roofs district wide. Overall the roofs are in very good shape. Any areas of concern that were identified have been addressed. In all cases, it was determined that the structures will safely hold the weight of the accumulated snow. Any concerns based on the potential for sliding snow at building entrances will be addressed before school re-opens on Monday.
