Schools monitoring for Flu with Increased Absences

School Nurses across the district have noted an increase in student absences due to the Flu or Flu-Like Illnesses. All schools will continue to:
* Increase absence data monitoring to reflect these particular illnesses
* Update / consult with our district school physician
* Monitor student visits to the Nurse due to respiratory illness
* Encourage hand washing and cough etiquette throughout the district

Improv Comedy Show to benefit Hopkinton Education Foundation

The Hopkinton Education Foundation is excited to be hosting its first Comedy Night with Improv Boston.

March 28th
7:00PM
Warren Conference Center

General Admission Ticket is $75, which includes admission, un-reserved table seating, food stations, DJ, and comedy entertainment. A limited number of Premium Table Seating for 10 Guests is being offered for $800, which includes admission, food stations, DJ, and premium reserved seating for 10 for the comedy entertainment.

Fredrick Berger, 94

Fredrick Berger, 94, of Hopkinton, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Helena R. (Soloman) and Carleton K. Berger. He was the loving husband of the late Pauline (Soroka) Berger who passed away in 1980.

Hopkinton School Canceled - February 3, 2015

Dear Families and Faculty,

I am writing to let you know that there will be no school tomorrow, Monday February 2nd. After consultation with the DPW, the Department of Buildings and Grounds, and Superintendents in surrounding towns, I have determined that the road conditions will not be safe for travel at any of our peak travel times tomorrow. I have been tracking the storm all day today, and the predicted conditions have not changed.

State Police Arrest 2 Operating Stolen Vehicle in Hopkinton During Blizzard

On Tuesday at 5:15pm at the height of the Blizzard Juno, 2 were arrested driving a stolen 2008 Toyota SUV. Troopers determined the vehicle was stolen out of Lowell. The vehicle was spotted by Trooper Greg Doherty traveling on 495 South behind snow plows. As the vehicle entered Hopkinton Trooper Doherty assisted by 5 other officers stopped the vehicle.

You can encourage them to work hard and set goals. But making teens obey and conform won’t make them achievers.
