Message from DPW Water and Sewer Division

By contributor,

Please be advised that the DPW water and sewer division will be installing new outside water meter reading units at customer’s homes and business in the area of West Main, Elm, School, Priscilla, DiCarlo, Elizabeth, Hearthstone, Stonecrossing and side streets in those areas. In most cases this does not require entry into the home. However, in some instances technicians may need to gain access to your basement to make the necessary connection.

We thank you for your cooperation in this
matter.

Host Family Opportunity

By contributor,

Would you open your heart and home for the experience of a life time? Educatius International is looking for a few loving families to host a full year or semester international student for next year. Educatius has been placing international students in Hopkinton High School since the inception of the international program four years ago. Your local coordinator Ann Northup is 5 minutes away, or a phone call away and ready to support you and her students with home visits, monthly check-ins and any back-up you might need including a place to stay if you need to leave town.

Hopkinton DI Success

By contributor,

Hopkinton DI teams excelled once again at the MA State tournament held at WPI on 3/29. This year, two Hopkinton teams grabbed 1st place and will now advance to the DI Global Tournament, to be held in Knoxville, TN, May 21-24, where they will compete with more than 1300 teams from around the globe! They make our community and schools proud! It is particularly noteworthy that both these teams chose a challenge that involves community service and outreach.

We'd like to wish them the very best for the Global tournament.

Veterans' Breakfast April 4th

By contributor,

Now is the time to recall the meaning of Patriots Day. We can do it at the Senior Center Mess Hall with its chipped beef specialty and other great chow on Friday, 4 April 2014, at or about 0900 hours. Many regulars are there before 0900 for coffee and muffins, so don't be late. Best of all there will be an environment of good friends and camaraderie. Please invite your friends who don't receive this message. If there are transportation difficulties, call Amy Beck by 2 April 2014, 508 497-9730.
