HPTA Children's Gallery Family Fun Day April 6

Please join the HPTA for a day of family fun including Hampster ball races, bouncy houses, an art activity, Jedi Training and A Magic Balloon Show with Jungle Jim, free ice cream, face painting, hair streaking, and the always-popular basket raffles! HS Students Talk About Their Artwork April 11

On April 11 the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) will be hosting a panel discussion featuring high school students whose artwork is on display at The Hopkinton High School Honors Arts Show. Artists Lauren Ballantyne, Helen Gao, Katherine Ronan, Alexis Stefano, Jill Tomlinson, Aleck Venegas, and Lynette Winsham will speak about their creative processes and answer questions. All are invited to this free event, which runs from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Hopkinton High School Honors Art Show runs from March 28 to April 19 at the HCA, 98 Hayden Rowe Street.

State of the Schools April 9: Live in the HCAM Studio

Acting Superintendent Dr. Steven Hiersche and School Committee Chairperson Nancy Burdick will be giving an update on the state of the Hopkinton Public Schools followed by an opportunity for attendees and viewers to ask questions. The presentation is hosted by the HPTA and will be moderated by HPTA president, Beth D’Alleva.

Special Permits for Hayden Woods Granted

The Planning Board voted to approve special permits for Hayden Woods at 201 and 215 Hayden Rowe Street during their meeting on March 25. The permits were for garden apartments in residential districts and flexible community development. The applicant William Perkins presented the plan with John Perkins and Joe Marquedant of Marquedant & Associates.

Casino Free Milford to Hold Meeting for Surrounding Communities

According to Casino Free Milford spokesman Ken Rockett, a meeting for residents of surrounding communities to Milford has been scheduled for Thursday, March 28th from 7 - 9 pm. The meeting will be at Adams School Auditorium, 323 Woodland St., Holliston, MA.

An agenda will be sent out before the meeting In the meantime, Rockett recommends that attendees read and become familiar with the presenation "Impact of a Casino on Milford" which can be found on the Casino Free Milford website.

Ghost Light Players to Hold Auditions for Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing

MARLBOROUGH, MA – 3/27/13 - Ghost Light Players is pleased to announce auditions for Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Auditions will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 3 at the First Church in Marlborough Congregational, 37 High Street, Marlborough, MA. School Bus Transportation for Friday, 3/29 Early Dismissal

On Friday, 3/29 at early dismissal, students will be bused according to
their regular busing arrangements for Friday dismissal. Students who are
scheduled to be bused to their home bus stops will be bused to home.
Students who are scheduled to go to Daycare Providers will be bused there.
We have confirmed that all major Childcare Providers will be open to receive
students at early dismissal times. Childcare Providers with few Friday
students, who are not open, have contacted parents directly to make
individual arrangements.

Mark Your Calendars: Veterans Breakfast April 5

The Senior Center mess hall will serve breakfast for Veterans on Friday, 5 April 2013, at or before 0900 hours. The menu includes eggs, bacon, hash, home fries, biscuits, plenty of coffee -- and chipped beef. All veterans are welcome!
