Live4Evan 5k Run+Fun Oktoberfest
This year's Live4Evan 5k will see a lot of changes including a certified course that ends at EMC park. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in this annual fundraiser for the organization, which provides temporary housing for families of children with congenital heart disease. Food trucks, an animal show for kids and a beer garden for adults will join perennial favorites like the Cornhole Tourney and LiveTough, the obstacle course for kids after the race. The Boston Naturals will provide live music as part of the festivities.
Register soon for Fall Classes at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts
As schools start up this week, a reminder that only weeks remain until the start of Fall classes at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Now is a great time to register for new classes. Daytime, after school, and weekend options for every schedule.
This Fall session, the HCA will host a wide variety of creative classes in sewing, ceramics, dance, music, theater, and the visual arts.
Classes are available for children starting at age 18 mos., pre-teens, teens, and adults! Take a look at all of the program options and discover what's new at the HCA.
Knights of Columbus – Bishop Rice Council 4822 (Ashland/Hopkinton) To Sponsor Youth Soccer Challenge Competition
All boys and girls ages 9-14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2018 Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge. The local competition will be held September 15th from 3 pm to 6 pm at the ball fields behind Hopkinton Middle School, 88 Hayden Rowe Street, Hopkinton MA 01748.

Artists Alex Dunn and Brandon Rhoads will present an artist talk and demonstration Street Dreams. A body of Alex and Brandon’s latest work, Street Dreams, will be on display at the HCA (Barn Loft Gallery) between 9/20/2018 – 10/16/2018.

The Forest of Arden comes alive in Brown Box Theatre Project’s 8th Annual Free Outdoor Shakespeare tour, As You Like It. When a motley cast of characters finds themselves banished from the court, misdirection, desire, and serendipity unite to form a tangled web of identity and love that could only be possible in this pastoral haven, where gender roles, politics, and expectations are turned upside-down.
Free Pasta Dinner at St. Paul’s August 29
The August Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month.
The meal will feature pasta (gluten free available), vegetarian tomato sauce, meatballs on the side, green salad, bread, beverages, and dessert.
The pasta supper is free, although donations will be accepted.
