Hopkinton Public Schools will Have Early Dismissal Tuesday

Due to the incoming snowstorm, Hopkinton Public Schools have announced early dismissal Tuesday. High School and Middle School will dismiss 11:30am, Hopkins 12:15 (lunch served), Elmwood/Marathon 1:00pm (lunch served).

This past Monday, the Hopkinton Youth Commission hosted the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of service event at Hopkinton Middle School. The event featured a number of activities to help charitable causes and local organizations. Speakers included: African-American Storyteller, Valerie Tutson, Inspirational Speaker & Dancer, DJ Fadayz and former Buddhist Monk, Seth Monk. View more from the event in the video below.

Marathon Fund Committee Scholarships

The Marathon Fund Committee will be awarding 6 - $1,500 scholarships, 3-female,
3 Male, to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Hopkinton. Applications are now
available the selectmen’s office in the town hall or in the guidance department at Hopkinton High

Hopkinton Police Investigate Pedestrian Struck in Roadway

The Hopkinton Police Department is actively investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Main Street on December 14, 2018, at 9:30 p.m. The Hopkinton Public Safety Dispatch Center received reports of a person struck by a car. Public safety personnel responded to Main Street and found a 63 year old man who had sustained injuries from a motor vehicle crash. The Hopkinton Fire Department transported the man to hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

HHS to Present ‘Godspell’ Nov. 15-18

Hopkinton High School drama students will present the musical “Godspell” November 15-18 in the HHS auditorium.

“Godspell” features parables from the Bible and music by legendary composer Stephen Schwartz. It debuted off-Broadway in 1971 and has enjoyed several popular revivals since then. HHS’s version features Matthew Dempsey as Jesus; Abbey Kelly-Lanser as the Baptist/Betrayer; and 40 other talented students.
