HHS to Present ‘Godspell’ Nov. 15-18

Hopkinton High School drama students will present the musical “Godspell” November 15-18 in the HHS auditorium.

“Godspell” features parables from the Bible and music by legendary composer Stephen Schwartz. It debuted off-Broadway in 1971 and has enjoyed several popular revivals since then. HHS’s version features Matthew Dempsey as Jesus; Abbey Kelly-Lanser as the Baptist/Betrayer; and 40 other talented students.

Video: Hopkinton High School Girl Powered Robotics Event

This past week a Girl Powered Robotics event took place at Hopkinton High School. The Girl Powered initiative seeks to encourage Female participation in the robotics community and coveys the message that robotics is for everyone.

Some of the activities at the event included, paper coding, programming lego robots, a presentation by the mathworks VEX organization and getting a look at the work of the Hopkinton High School Hopkinetics team.

This year over 100 HHS students are participating in our Science and Engineering Fair! Local scientists, researchers, engineers and coders are invited to participate in our Pizza and Projects Workshop on 10/18 from 5:45-7. Please join Superintendent Dr. Carol Cavanaugh and the Hopkinton School Committee on Sunday, September 30th at 11:30 AM in the Hopkinton Middle School Library at 88 Hayden Rowe Street for a conversation about the results of our District’s recent survey on diversity and inclusion. There will be an opportunity for whole group and smaller break out group discussions as we explore the implications of the survey and the work ahead.
