-On Wednesday April 24th, the Hopkinton Womens Club hosts the 32nd annual Meet the Candidates Night at the HCAM studios. Get a chance to ask this years Town Election candidates questions. You can ask questions a number of ways including attending the event or emailing questions prior to live@hcam.tv. Meet the candidates night starts at 7pm on Wednesday April 24th.

On Wednesday May 1st at 7pm, HCAM will host Hopkinton Town Election debates for the contested races. This year there are 5 contested races: Board of Selectmen, Town Moderator, Commissioners of Parks & Recreation, Commissioners of Trust Funds and Planning Board (2 year term). The debates will take place in the HCAM studios which are located at 77 Main Street on the lower level. Panelists this year include Freelance Reporter & HCAM Board Member, Michelle Murdock and HCAM News Director, Tom Nappi.

Lyme disease is the most prevalent infectious disease in Massachusetts and is now considered to be a public health crisis. In addition to Lyme, deer ticks can carry the pathogens which cause Babesiosis, Anaplasmosis, Relapsing Fever and Powassan virus, all of which can be very serious.

Please be advised that weather pending on Wednesday April 17th , work on the water
lines at the intersection of Hayden Rowe and Chestnut Street will take place. Due to
the nature of the work, water will need to be turned off from approximately 8:30 AM
to 4 PM, barring any difficulties. The areas affected will be Hayden Rowe from
Teresa Road to approximately number 204 and Chestnut Street from Hayden Rowe to
Wild Road.
