As part of its Hopkinton branch grand opening, UniBank will be offering a Community Shred Day at the branch located at 87 West Main Street in Hopkinton on Saturday, November 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This event is FREE and open to the community.

After two days of public hearings, this Wednesday 10/14 and last Wednesday 10/7, the Zoning Board of Appeals have denied the appeal against CVS Pharmacy. A group of Hopkinton residents filed an appeal to prevent CVS from being built at the location of the former Colella's building arguing that CVS is a "healthcare facility" and not retail, therefore it should be barred from the former Colella's because of a town bylaw preventing health services facilities from being built at that location.

The New York Times is calling it "the biggest takeover ever of a technology company" as Dell purchased Hopkinton based EMC for $67 billion dollars.
