Hopkinton Area Land Trust Scholarships
The Hopkinton Area Land Trust is offering $1000 scholarships to a graduating high school student or students from the town of Hopkinton whose intent is to major in conservation, ecology, natural resources/wildlife management, or the environmental sciences. Applications can be downloaded from here, which provides more details. Try to submit as early as possible. We plan to inform winners by the end of April.
Basic Rights in Special Education: A Workshop for Parents and Professionals
The Basic Rights workshop takes place on Tuesday, March 29 at the Hopkinton Middle School Lecture Hall, 88 Hayden Rowe Street, from 7:00-9:00 PM. The workshop provides families with an introduction to their rights and responsibilities under:
-Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
-Massachusetts Special Education Law

Hopkinton High School hosted a science and engineering fair. The event was sponsored and partially funded by the Hopkinton Parent Teacher Association as well as the Framingham based Bose Corporation.

Hopkinton SEPAC Meets March 15th
Hopkinton SEPAC is the Special Education Parent Advisory Council. Hopkinton SEPAC membership is open to any and all parties. You do not have to have a child with special needs to join. If your child has or you know a child who has trouble reading, writing, understanding math, has an identified disability or perhaps is undiagnosed, but definitive presence of a physical, intellectual, emotional disability, organizational or attention difficulties or allergies, join Hopkinton SEPAC to learn more about these and other areas in the developing child.
Hopkinton Police Conducting Business Alcohol Compliance Checks
The Hopkinton Police Department will be conducting annual Alcohol Compliance Checks of all licensed establishments beginning in February 2016 through September 2016.
These compliance checks are made to ensure that all establishments licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages In Hopkinton follow and comply with all rules and regulations pertaining to the safe sale and service of alcohol within town.
This notice is made in accordance with compliance policy and with the recommendation of the ABCC (Alcohol Beverage Control Commission)
