Join the Hopkinton Education Foundation for Casino Night – this Saturday, March 8th!

The Hopkinton Education Foundation cordially invites everyone to its 2nd Annual Casino Cocktail Night, scheduled for this Saturday, March 8th, at the Warren Conference Center in Ashland, from 8pm to midnight.

The evening will feature gaming, dining and dancing, as well as an interactive online auction, all to raise awareness and support for the Education Foundation’s grant program, designed to foster innovation in the Hopkinton school system.

Are you inspired by the Boston Marathon?

As part of 26.2 Desire to Inspire, decorate a running shoe cutout on March 13 at the Hopkinton Public Library and declare your inspiration! Artist Carrie Malandrino will provide materials for you to unleash your creativity.

8-12 graders can decorate at 12:30 PM. Ages 8 and up can decorate at 2:30 PM.

What is Your "Transportation Nightmare"?

The 495/MetroWest Partnership, in collaboration with MetroWest Daily News, is soliciting nomination(s) for the region's 'transportation nightmares'. These nominations will be considered by public and private sector representatives serving on the Partnership's Transportation Committee, which will be announcing the 495/MetroWest region's top transportation needs. Please make your voices heard by submitting the nomination form below. Submit as many as you like but please use a separate form for each.

Selectmen Approves Of Lee

Last night the Hopkinton Board of Selectmen voted unanimously for Detective Captain Edward Lee. a 26 year veteran of the Woonsocket RI Police force to head The Hopkinton Police Department.

The field included two Hopkinton Officers, Interim Chief Charles Wallace, Sgt. Joseph Bennett, and Lt. Thomas Lynch of the Franklin Police Department.
Twenty candidates applied for the job last fall.

Lee will now meet with Town Manager Norman Khumalo to negotiate his salary and his start date.
