Union Carpenters Join Together to Protect Community Funding and Stand Against $2.6 Billion Stolen in Construction Tax Fraud

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS – The New England Regional Council of Carpenters and its local chapters will host a series of events in tandem the April 15th national tax deadline. Rallys, demonstrations, forums, and press conferences will illuminate the rampant tax fraud in the construction industry and impacts at the local, state, and national level.

Community Notice: Work on Water Lines Wednesday April 17th

Please be advised that weather pending on Wednesday April 17th , work on the water
lines at the intersection of Hayden Rowe and Chestnut Street will take place. Due to
the nature of the work, water will need to be turned off from approximately 8:30 AM
to 4 PM, barring any difficulties. The areas affected will be Hayden Rowe from
Teresa Road to approximately number 204 and Chestnut Street from Hayden Rowe to
Wild Road.

EHOP to Host Seventh Annual Know your Vote April 29th

Lawn mowing

Weed trimming

Miscellaneous property cleanups

Other maintenance-type related duties

Qualifications:

Ability to drive a one-ton dump truck with trailer

Prior experience with landscaping and/or maintenance

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Hopkinton Marathon Committee to Honor Veterans on Patriots’ Day at 123rd Boston Marathon Start

In honor of Patriots’ Day, the Hopkinton Marathon Committee (HMC) honors local veterans at the start of the Boston Marathon each year. Patriots’ Day, an annual civic holiday, commemorates the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. Each year, since its start in 1897, the Boston Marathon has taken part of Patriots’ Day. This year’s honored patriots at the start of the Boston Marathon will be Russell Phipps, Sr., Betty Branagan, and Frank Torento, all of Hopkinton.
