The Town of Hopkinton is encouraging all residents who are interested in helping govern Hopkinton to apply now to any board of committee. If you have been curious or interested in giving your time, expertise or perspective on behalf of your community, now is an excellent time to get involved!
Please visit our website for a full listing of all Boards, Committees and Commissions. Each entity has a full membership listing, charge and a unique website link with information and activities on relevant topics to that board or committee. Many board and committee memberships will expire very soon, so if you are interested in any committee, now is the time to throw your hat in the ring!
The current vacancies on town boards and committees are as follows:
1. Capital Improvement Committee (One Board of Selectmen Appointment, One Town Moderator Appointment)
2. Board of Appeals (One At-Large Member)
3. Board of Appeals (One Associate Member)
4. Marathon Committee (One At-Large Member)
5. Sustainable Green Committee (Three At-Large Members; Three Associate Members)
6. Veteran’s Celebration Committee (One At-Large Member)
However, even if there is not a vacancy, the Town encourages you to apply in the event one becomes available and based on your interests and expertise.
To apply for any volunteer position on any Board or Committee, please visit the Town’s website and fill out the online volunteer form. Interested parties may also visit the Board of Selectmen’s Office in Town Hall to fill out an application in person or call the office to have staff assist you in applying.
