Hopkinton Operations Assistant is Leaving

After 3 years of service to Hopkinton, Operations Assistant to Town Manager Norman Khumalo, Jamie Hellen will be leaving to become deputy town administrator in Franklin. Hellen was appointed by Town Manager Norman Khumalo in 2012. In addition to assisting Selectmen and the Town Manager, Hellen helped on a number of other projects in town including the Boston Marathon and the 300th Anniversary celebration.

Hopkinton Town Hall released the following press release:

"Jamie Hellen Resigned as Operations Assistant in the Town Manager’s Office Last week, Jamie (The Guy) Hellen advised me he will be stepping down from his position as Operations Assistant in the Town Manager’s Office for the Town of Hopkinton effective January 2, 2016. Jamie has accepted the Assistant Town Administrator position for the Town of Franklin. He joined Hopkinton three (3) years ago and has exceeded expectations. An unwavering champion of excellent customer service,a stalwart adherent of community engagement and improving operational processes,

Jamie’s warmth and energy will be missed at Town Hall. His “can-do” spirit was evident in his work improving board meeting packets, constituents services and support to the activities of the 300th Anniversary Celebration Committee, and many more contributions. While I am happy that Jamie is moving on to the next level professionally, I certainly will miss his compelling story-telling and love for conversation sparring. I wish him the very best in his professional endeavors.
