Marjorie I. Wright, 81, of Hopkinton, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Milford Regional Hospital. Born in Somerville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Savage) and Kenneth Thompson. She was the wife of the late Alfred W. Wright.

Marjorie was involved in various town activities, including being a Cub Scout, Brownies, and Girl Scout leader, Hopkinton Historical Society and Hopkinton Veterans Celebration activities. She had worked at the Hopkinton Selectmen’s office and drove school bus for many years for the town of Hopkinton. She was known and loved for her generosity and humor.

She is survived by three children, Lee J. Wright of Hopkinton, Carol J. Pontremoli and her husband, Michael of Hopkinton, Linda A. Muri and her husband, Edward of Hopkinton. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sean and Ashley Pontremoli, Nicholas Snyer and Heather Sprague; as well as 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Bianca, and Hailey. She is predeceased by her brother, Bruce Thompson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral home service will take place on Monday, January 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial of her cremains will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Hopkinton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marge’s name may be made to Friends of the Hopkinton Senior Citizens, 28 Mayhew St. Hopkinton, MA 01748, or to Project Just Because, 109 South St. Hopkinton, or Hopkinton Ambulance Fund, 73 Main St. Hopkinton.
