Hopkinton through Poetry: Celebrating 300 Years – Book Launch & Poetry Reading

As part of the Hopkinton 300th anniversary celebration, Hopkinton residents Cheryl Perreault and Cynthia Franca are inviting the community to come and join the celebration of the newly published “Hopkinton Through Poetry: Celebrating 300 Years” Anthology of 36 local poets and writers sharing poems that state what they love about the town of Hopkinton.

Eighth Annual Haunted Trail Walk Fundraiser

The Woodville Trailbusters 4H Club are hosting their annual Haunted Trail Walk Fundraiser on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 from 5:30-8:30 PM at 25 Winter Street in Hopkinton. The cost is $3 per child and $5 per adult. There will be popcorn, candied apples and cider. Admission includes a guided trail walk with dragons, pirates, pumpkins, a mad scientist, prisoners, spiders, minions and much more, a hay ride and games.

No drop-offs, please. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Woodville 4H Clubs Update

The Woodville Trailbusters 4H Horse Club and Woodville Crafty Cats 4H Club finished up their summer by attending the three day fair in Westford. The members rode their horses in a three day show and had many entries in the static building: arts, crafts, needlepoint, photography, baking, canning, gardening, creative writing and many more categories.

2015 Hopkinton High School Pep Rally Playback

The 2015 Hopkinton High School Pep Rally took place today before the Homecoming Game against Holliston. For anyone who may have missed it, HCAM will be replaying the Pep Rally all weekend long.

On Friday, October 9, it will replay on HCAM-ED (Comcast channel 96 or Verizon channel 31) at 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

On Saturday, October 10, it will replay on HCAM-ED at 9:30 AM, 3:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 10:00 PM. It will replay on HCAM-TV (Comcast channel 8 or Verizon channel 30) at 5:30 PM.

Humidity was at an average of 81.9%, the peak was 98% while the lowest was 33.1%. Wind Speed averaged 2.4 MPH, while reaching a high of 7 MPH. Frederick J. “Fred” Carty, 82

Tunbridge, Vt.— Frederick J. “Fred” Carty, 82 died Monday, Oct. 5, 2015 at his home in Tunbridge, Vt. He was born July 28, 1933 in Providence, R.I. the son of Justin and Frances (Stanley) Carty. He spent his early years in Woburn, Mass. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Fred worked ten years at the Draper Corp. in Hopedale, Mass. and worked the next twenty years as a partner in the Farrar and Carty Landfill in Milford, Mass.

The Fox 25 Football game of the week will be???

Hopkinton and Holliston beat out North Andover VS Billerica to get the Fox 25 game of the week. In the Fox report they mentioned more people than any other week this season voted. 30,000 people voted overall and Fox will head to Hopkinton High School Friday Night.

Fox will do a pregame report for their newscast at 6 and highlights of the game for their newscast at 10pm.
