Mission Retreats at Fatima Shrine

The Xaverian Missionaries at Fatima Shrine in Holliston are offering day retreats each month on themes for the celebration of Consecrated Life, called by Pope Francis, as well as celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mission Document from Vatican II Ad Gentes. These retreats will take place at the Shrine on the Second Sunday of each Month (except May 3rd) giving those who come an opportunity to celebrate the many ways that Mission can be expressed and lived. Come to share the many Mission Stories of Faith and Service.

It's "Chipped Beef Friday!" Muster will be on 3 April 2015, at the Senior Center mess hall at 0900 hours. Limited edition marathon prints to benefit Hopkinton’s 300th Anniversary now available

The 26.2 Foundation in conjunction with the Hopkinton 300th Anniversary Celebration Committee announces the sale of 300 signed, limited edition prints featuring iconic symbols of Hopkinton’s “Marathon Footprint” including the Team Hoyt sculpture, the “Spirit of the Marathon” sculpture, the “Starter” sculpture and the gazebo on the Town Common.

“These prints capture and express the respect, love and admiration the town of Hopkinton has for the Boston Marathon,” said 26.2 Foundation president Michael Neece.

New Hours for Hopkinton Elementary Schools 2015-2016

Elementary Schools in Hopkinton released their new hours for the 2015-2016 School year. Hopkins School will start at 8:15am and end at 2:30pm, Elmwood and Center School will start at 9:00am and end at 3:15pm.

Currently Hopkins and Center School starts their day at 8:55am and releases at 3:10pm while Elmwood starts at 8:15am and releases at 2:30pm.

2015 Boston Marathon Hopkinton Police Public Service Announcement

The 119 th running of the Boston Marathon will take place on Monday April 20, 2015. The roads in Hopkinton will be closing at 7 a.m. Monday morning. Approximately 30,000 runners will be running in four different groups or Waves. The timeline for the race is as follows:
The Mobility Impaired will start at 8:50 a.m. The Wheelchairs will start at 9:17 a.m.
The Handcycles will start at 9:22 a.m.
The Elite Women runners will start at 9:32 a.m.
Wave 1 of the runners (7500) will start at 10:00 a.m.
Wave 2 of the runners (7500) will start at 10:25 a.m.

Legal Education Seminar: Keeping Control as You Get Older

On April 1 from 6:00-7:00 PM at the Hopkinton Senior Center, Attorney Arthur Bergeron will review the important documents you need to have in place to ensure that you keep control as you age: Power of Attorney and Health Care Proxy. He will also discuss the importance of wills, trusts, and joint ownerships. In addition, he will explore whether or not you should consider purchasing long-term care insurance (while you still can).
