Joanne M. (Powell) Ouellet, 75, of Milford and formerly of Hopkinton passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 with her family by her side, after a short period of declining health. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Irene (Shaw) Powell and is survived by her brother Daniel (Ted) Powell and his wife, Diane of Upton. She is predeceased by her husband of 34 years, James C. Ouellet.

Means-tested senior (tax) exemption program - NEW UPDATE

The deadline to submit the application for the Hopkinton Means Tested Senior Exemption is typically August 31st. Since some individuals may not have filed their State Tax Return yet (and the CB form that is a requirement for this exemption) we have extended the filing deadline this year to September 30, 2020 for the Means Tested Senior Exemption application.

Please go to the town website for the application form and/or call the Assessor’s Office if you have any questions.

-We are open for quick browsing from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on weekdays.
-A mask covering the nose and mouth is required.
-There will be limited people allowed in the building at one time.
-Solo browsing is encouraged.

Dear Hopkinton Residents:

The Town is undertaking a survey of resident opinions about community and services in collaboration with the National Research Center. Your responses regarding the quality of services, public trust, and community characteristics are extremely important to us. The survey results may be used by staff, elected officials, and other stakeholders for community planning and resource allocation, program improvement, and policymaking.

The 125th edition of the Hangout Hour took place on Friday, September 18th at 2pm and featured Hopkinton Police Chief, Joseph Bennett and Ashley Scionti to talk about HPD happenings and the Jail Diversion Program. Chuck Joseph also talked Hopkinton History.

Community Notice: Detour Wood Street and West Main Street Saturday, September 19th 2020

Crews will be working in the intersection of Wood and West Main tomorrow (Saturday, September 19th) starting at 7:00AM. The detour that was in place last week will be used again. West bound traffic will be detoured down Wood, up and Elm and out Lumber Street extension.

Long time HCAM producer, Cheryl Perreault, begins a new project here at Hopkinton's Television Station. Cheryl has been invited to gather art of poetry, story and song to share with our community: to encourage and inspire one another.

This page will include weekly submissions of original poetry, story, song, visual art or video link, beginning with examples that Cheryl has received from family and friends as well as art that she has shared with others during the past months of this pandemic.
