Enter Stage Left Theater presents “A Play, A Pint & A Pie,” a one-night event in homage to the great tradition of Glasgow Scotland theater.

Intended for patrons 13 and older, this outdoor show presents a series of original, one-act plays from writers all over the world. The evening includes two comedies and two dramas with a wide array of themes from aging, equity for women in government, gun control, the death penalty, religion, and the life affirming lessons we all learned from Gilligan's Island.

Hopkinton Center for the Arts: Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Jr.

By contributor,

You know the story …

Enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy!

Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats (nothing like our own children, in other words). But the fifth, Charlie Bucket, is a likeable young lad who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather, setting off a sequence of astonishing happenings and surprises.
