Heather Backman Resigns as Library Director

Hopkinton Public Library Director Heather Backman is starting a new chapter in her career and will be leaving her position as Library Director on July 9.

Heather has accepted a position with the Weymouth Public Libraries.

Backman joined the Hopkinton Library in October of 2014 as the Adult Services Librarian and was appointed as Library Director in August of 2017.

The Town of Hopkinton, MA announced today that it has signed a 99-year lease with the 26.2 Foundation, granting the nonprofit organization a 19-acre site on East Main Street in Hopkinton for the development and construction of an International Marathon Center (IMC). Town Manager, Norman Khumalo talked with us about the agreement.
